Company History


Joe Hickey Meats was founded in 1979 by Joe and Margaret Hickey in Killarney , County Kerry. In the early days it was the vision and innovation of Joe that sparked and drove the development of what we was to become Flesk Meats. Starting out as a sole trader eventually building a loyal customer base throughout the years,

Flesk Meats has grown to be be a key supplier of quality irish meats to catering establishments in Munster with a reputation for quality, personal touch and customer service. Still run by the Hickey family today, you can be assured of prompt service, quality products and reliable delivery.


Company Development


In early 2005 Flesk Meats commissioned a 20000sq ft. state of the art meat processing and production facility. This move has meant that all our production and storage processes are fully compliant with all existing EU & domestic food standards. Based in based in Baile Mhuirne on the Cork-Kerry border, we successfully cater for customers across the Munster region.

Logistics and Distribution

Our customers demand timely delivery of fresh quality products and we can guarantee this by our flexible distribution network. Our ability to react and respond to our customers changing needs is second to none due to this flexibility. We supply directly to our customers on a regular route basis through use of our modern fleet. Each vehicle is temperature controlled and monitored which ensures your delivery arrives at the correct temperature in accordance in HACCP standards.
